Dressage

There are 8 riding levels of Dressage in a RIFNA Dressage program.  The qualification for each level of class is outlined below.  For specific information, please contact us or speak with your RIFNA coach.

General Qualification:  A rider should feel confident on a qualified but unknown horse at all times in the show ring to show in RIFNA competitions.

 

CLASS QUALIFICATIONS:

Class A Open A/Open Level riders should meet one or more of these standards: 

• Compete in Second Level Dressage 

• Show on any unknown horse in First Level, Test 2 

 

Class B Advanced B/Advanced Level riders should meet one or more of these standards:

 • Show at First Level USDF Test 1 Dressage on any unknown but qualified horse 

 

Class C Intermediate II C/Intermediate II Level riders should meet one or more of these standards:

 • Confident that he/she can show USDF First Level Training Test 4 on anyunknown but qualified horse

 

 Class D Intermediate I D/Intermediate I Level riders should meet one or more of these standards:

 • Show Training Level USDF Test 3 Dressage on any unknown but qualified horse

 

 Class E Novice II E/Novice II Level riders should meet one or more of these standards:

 • Show in Training Level USDF Test 2 Dressage on any unknown but qualified horse

 • Show in a flat equitation class at the walk, trot, and canter. 

 

Class F Novice I F/Novice I Level riders should meet one or more of these standards:

 • Confident at the canter on any unknown but qualified horse while doing the Dressage Test USDF Training Level 1

 • Show in a flat equitation class at the walk, trot, and canter. 

 

Class G Introductory II A/Open Level riders should meet one or more of these standards:

 • Control any unknown but qualified horse while doing the Dressage Test USDF Intro B

 • Show in a flat equitation class at the walk, trot, and canter. 

 

Class H Introductory I A/Open Level riders should meet one or more of these standards:

 • Control any unknown but qualified horse while doing the Dressage Test USDF Intro A 

• Show in a flat equitation class at the walk and trot.
