Dressage

There are 8 riding levels of Dressage in a RIFNA Dressage program.  The qualification for each level of class is outlined below.  For specific information, please contact us or speak with your RIFNA coach.

General Qualification:  A rider should feel confident on a qualified but unknown horse at all times in the show ring to show in RIFNA competitions.

 

CLASS QUALIFICATIONS:

Class A

Riders who compete in Second Level Dressage and can show on any unknown horse in First Level, Test 2 must ride in the RIFNA Dressage Class A.   

 

Class B

For a rider who can show at First Level USDF Test 1 Dressage on any unknown but qualified horse and who has never competed in any shows above second level, throughout his/her schooling/training, must compete at the RIFNA Dressage Class B Level.

 

Class C

For a rider who feels confident that he/she can show USDF First Level Training – Test 4 Dressage on any unknown but qualified horse and has never competed in any shows above First Level throughout his/her training/schooling.

 

Class D

Rider must feel confident that he/she can show Training Level USDF Test 3 Dressage on any unknown but qualified horse and has never competed in any shows above First Level, throughout their schooling/training.

 

Class E

Rider must feel secure that he/she can show in Training Level USDF Test 2 Dressage on any unknown but qualified horse while doing his/her tests.  Rider has never competed in any shows above training level, throughout his/her schooling/training.

 

Class F

Rider must feel secure at the canter on any unknown but qualified horse while doing the Dressage Test USDF Training Level 1 as well as showing in a flat equitation class.

 

Class G

Rider feels confident that he/she can keep control over any unknown but qualified horse while doing the Dressage Test USDF Intro B as well as showing in a flat equitation class.

 

Class H

Rider feels confident that he/she can keep control over any unknown but qualified horse while doing the Dressage Test USDF Intro A as well as showing in a flat equitation class.
