In May of each year, Regional Championships will be held to determine which teams and individuals will compete in the State Finals Competition. Each team or individual rider within a region qualifies for Regional Finals upon accumulating the required number of points from RIFNA Sanctioned competitions. During the initial year of RIFNA (Fall 2004 – National Championship 2005), a rider or team must accumulate 35 points in his/her riding classification to advance to Regional Finals. In subsequent year, a rider must earn 50 points in one show classification to be eligible for Regional Finals in that show classification. A Rider will qualify separately for each of his/her classes. A rider may qualify in more than one discipline. It is possible for a rider to qualify for State Finals in only one class. It is the Regional Chairman’s duty to designate a location for Regional Finals
