In order to give teams and individuals members more opportunities to earn points, Invitational Meets will be held according to the rules and regulations of RIFNA. The format of an Invitational Meet will vary but should take four hours or less to complete. Each invitational meet will involve only one discipline (western, dressage, or hunter/equitation). The format can consist of one rider from each of two teams competing in the various classes of the discipline showing, or it can consist of only one division of a discipline showing (i.e., either "over fences" or "flat work" for hunter/equitation) with riders from four teams competing in each class. In this 4-person format, two first place and two second place awards can be given in each class. The riders will be grouped into competing teams of 2 riders each. The Invitational Meet will be run like a ride-off. The horses, the athletes, and the tests are the same as a full show. .jpg)
